| Howdy all,
My memorial day was great, went over to Dan and Ian's house. We dorked around, looked at their small arsenal of firearms, watched a movie then Ian comes storming down. Ok background, when you first see him he looks like a rich momma's boy and because he played soccer he had two unsound strikes against him. Me in my stupidity didn't really pay him much do. I have been and still are really good friends with Dan, but that day/night kind of changed my view of Ian. Anyways, he's pissed, he says, "Dan come on, the lights are on at grandpa's". He looks at me and says, "Bring your piece:. (I allways carry my 9mm with me everywhere I go.) Dan runs into the gun room and gets into the safe but Ian's like, "Come on we don't have time." So Ian, Dan, Me, Steph Takamori, and Mir all get into their BMW convertable and speed off. We pulled into the drive way and the guys got out. I get out my 9 and notice Ian had a Walter PPK too lol...I covered the back while they got into the garage then I go in. hahahaha....Dan's like "Dude, what am I going to do?" Cause he didn't have a weapon, lol...Ian smiles and hands him a wuffle ball bat. Wasn't really funny then but when you sit and talk about it its great! So we are walking around quietly, sweeping all the corners, covering as best as three guys with two handguns could. I'm down in a tactical crouch (Lots of gun magazines and gun demonstrations) Ian is just walking around with the handgun in his left hand. (His right had surgery and was in a splint) He led the way I covered, Dan was just there for support and extra eyes..lol poor dan. But the kid has balls, he at least came in with us. All in all no one was in there, but the defining moment of my view of Ian was when he come out, pissed off as I had ever seen anyone. It was then I took mental note that I never wanted that guy mad at me and armed. He's a strikingly good looking guy but with his beanie, twitching eye, and handgun...hahah. SO yeah so of course we go out and start talking about things. Here are some of the conclusions we came up with about next time this happens.
1.) Don't bring along girls, but if you do give them something to defend themselves (Knife, bat, handgun) and means of communications with us.(Walkie-talkie.cell phone)
2.) Make sure you go in only with people you can trust armed. If there is someone inexperienced, leave them outside or at home.(Both Dan and Ian I know are hunters and fluent with weapons, I knew I didn't have to worry about then doing something stupid.)
3.) Make sure all those who are going in are armed. (lol..poor Dan)
4.) We broke out the police shotgun when we got back, that would have been great to have along. Nothing is better up close except for a flame thrower...good luck with that.
5.) Flashlights would have made entering and looking in all the freaking nooks and crannies in that house so much easier.
6.) Have enough personnel or plan around your numbers. With this house we needed like 8 guys to cover all the exits and give enough cover in case something did go down. We should have had two groups, one to cover the front and back, would have been nice to get someone else just to guard the perimeter with a rifle or shotgun.
Face it some guys just are better off sitting out in the car with the girls. I said to Ian and Dan, "I'm so glad Carl wasn't here. I could just see him walking int he house wide eyed clueless." No offense to Carl, he's a great guy, fit and smart but I don't think he's much of a trooper. Nothing to be ashamed of my man. ;)
I was talking with Ian yesterday talking about him leading the way with a handgun in his off hand he's like, "Yeah that's why I was walking lead. I didn't want to shoot you in the butt."
LOL...I have NO LIFE whatsoever
So yeah on another note, a much more boring one. I drove my car to the shop to get an estimate. I was plannng on having around 1200 bucks to put into it but it turns out I do have to pay some for my trip to jamaica, 300 so right now its all up to God. If he wants my car to be fixed something will happen. But the trip to Jamaica is much more important. The way I see it, what sacrifice of mine is more costly than a child who is going ot hell. A new way of thinking for me. But working with the little kids today kind of put that into perspective. SO just pray that whatever God has in store car wise for me will happen. Thanks all, sorry my post was so stupid lol. |
